The Only SEO Toolkit You Will Ever Need!

When I originally got into SEO I was incredibly lucky to have joined an agency. Now, this wasn't because of the training I received but more because of the list of tools and links I already have access to. One of the biggest things I realised when I started doing SEO in my free time was I didn't have access to half of the resources I did at work and at first this kind of stunted my strategy but after a bit of work I was able to put together a list of tools that in my opinion are imperative if you want to rank sites quickly and efficiently.

Again I will state that this is all my own opinion and if you don't agree or have a better recommendation I would love to hear it. So anyway here goes my list of free tools to help with your SEO campaign.

Browser Add-ons

Grammarly

As you can probably tell i am not one of the best writers, in fact, i am one of the worst at my agency but with the help of Grammarly filling out profiles and writing blogs become no problem. My biggest problem is time and this is what Grammarly saves me by checking all my spelling and grammar on the fly it makes it way quicker to later come back and proofread my posts.

LastPass

During any day i will find myself logging into multiple Gmail, Twitter and Facebook accounts and keeping track of all these logins can quickly become a massive pain. This is why LastPass is great, built to securely store all of your logins in one place you can quickly log in and out of any of your accounts without having to spend an hour tracking down the logins.

Keyword Everywhere

This has to be one of the best Google Chrome plugins i have stumbled upon. Now i can 't exactly remember where i found it as i have been using it that long but this is a plugin that any self-respecting SEO should be using. One of the biggest pains for me is having to go back and forth between search and Google's Keyword Planner to find the search volume for a keyword. Well, what Keyword Everywhere does is bring the search volume straight to your search results. Now I could talk about Keyword Everywhere's features all day but I will save that for a later date.

Alexa Toolbar

Alexa's Google Chrome plugin is an incredible tool for getting an idea of what a domain is like without having to spend time checking it out in depth. Alexa's Toolbar gives you an idea of related sites, sites other users visit, a basic breakdown of the backlink profile and most popular county. These little snippets of information is very helpful when you are building links or checking out expired domains.

Third Party Software

Ahrefs

This has to be my favourite backlink checker on the market right now even though it has a rather hefty price tag. Compared to other backlink checkers Ahrefs is on the pricer side of things but personally i 100% agree with the price tag especially since it become an integral part of my SEO strategy. Whether you're looking for backlinks or performing an SEO audit Ahrefs is definitely a needed tool.

Screaming Frog

Since 2010 Screaming Frog has been one of the leading website crawlers on the web and after using it for the last couple of years i  understand why. Now one thing I  will say about Screaming Frog is the interface can be a little difficult to understand but besides that i don't really have any complaints about the tool.

Scrapebox

Now, this is one of the newest additions to my toolkit as i was only able to get my hands on it about 2 months ago and i have to say its a must have for anyone doing SEO on a budget. So many people have this idea that Scrapebox is only used by people doing blackhat SEO but its link building feature is only one of the many features Scrapebox has to offer.

SupaGrowth Toolkit

Now during my time on Black Hat World i have seen a number of outstanding tools available for free. One of these tools is the incredible toolkit bough to use by the amazing Jamie, he has used his free time to develop a number of tools that a very handy for any one doing SEO. I am not going to talk about these tools much today but i highly recommend you check them out.

Link Assistant Toolkit

Link Assistan's Toolkit is a piece of freemium software unlike a loot of tool kits currently out there. First off it offers a number of tools to help your SEO campaign including a website auditor

The Five Commandments of SEO

One of the biggest things anyone will say to you about SEO is it's always changing and you have to keep up with these changes if you want to do well in the Manchester SEO industry. Now this statement is very true SEO is always changing but in my experience, there are five things that have always stayed consistent and as so have become my own little top five things to do on a website. Now I will start off by saying that this is all in my own opinion and if anyone disagrees with anything on the list I would love to know your opinion on the topic and why you disagree. Content is King Content is King - Source: Stocksnap.io Content is always going to be king no matter how you look at it. The whole point of Google is to provide the user with the answer they are looking for so it only makes sense that you need to have content to answer these questions.
